SIX men have appeared in court in connection with a raid on a Co-operative supermarket in Northumberland.
They appeared before North Tyneside Magistrates Court, in North Shields, on Monday, January 11, and were remanded in custody following the hearing.
The incident occurred at the store, on Hill Street, in Corbridge, on Friday, January 8.

The defendants are John Robert Barker, 25, of Barley Cop Lane, Lancaster; Anthony Hallimond, 28, of Cheviot Walk, Coundon; Neil Lowes, aged 39, of Middlewood Avenue, St Helen Auckland; Thomas Lloyd, aged 29, of Norfolk Street, Lancaster; Ronald Thexton, aged 32, of Park Road, Witton Park, near Bishop Auckland; and Kenneth Yorke; aged 24, of Sandylands Promenade, Heysham.
The case was committed to Newcastle Crown Court, where the six men will appear on Monday, February 8.
