VOLUNTEERS are being sought by Durham Police to take part in community speed watches across Darlington borough.
The speed watches, where the speed of passing vehicles is noted to inform policing priorities, will be taking place in Hurworth, Middleton-St-George, Yarm Road and Geneva Road in the coming weeks.
Anybody wanting to take part should email Sergeant Catherine Iley at catherine.iley@durham.pnn.police.uk or PC Jeff Summerhill on jeffrey.summerhill@durham.pnn.police.uk.
Applicants should include their name, date of birth, address and contact number or e-mail address.
Once the officers know how much interest there is from the public, they will respond to emails with full details and dates of the speed watch campaign.
