A CYCLIST who suffered head injuries when he was struck by a HGV remains in a critical condition.
The 27-year-old man was rushed to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, on Monday following the incident at about 6.10am on the A689, Newton Cap Viaduct, in Bishop Auckland.
No other vehicles were involved.
Durham Constabulary has appealed to any witnesses to the incident to contact the investigating officers from the Collision Investigation Unit on 0191-3752159 and quote incident reference DHM01112015-0045
