EMU poo, green scrambled eggs and near misses – Duncan Bannatyne got up and close with some birds in the jungle (of the winged variety) and narrowly avoided elimination.

Duncan may be a successful entrepreneur but in the jungle he held the role of emu keeper, and was more than a little disgruntled at being told to clean up emu mess.

Lady Colin Campbell - who wasn’t talking to Duncan - hinted subtly about a “DISGUSTING EMU POO” that had been found on the jungle floor.

The Dragon’s Den star, looking distinctly rattled, said: “Apparently an emu came and s*** on the floor in front of her. I had no idea about it. She’s bonkers."

Later Vicky Pattison’s reign as camp leader ended, and the Geordie Shore star was usurped by boyband member George Shelley.

George initially chose Ferne McCann as his deputy leader, but Chris Eubank suggested it should be Lady C as she was less able to do tasks around the camp – and Lady C prevailed.

Surprisingly, Duncan didn't like that: “She’s manoeuvring to become deputy leader. It’s absolutely disgusting. She’s the most dishonest woman I’ve ever met in my life.”

Just hours later, as Lady C described the hard life of being a celebrity, the Scotsman ranted: “I can’t take much more of this. She goes on and on and on. She’s a boring, self-obsessed, stupid woman.”

Hysteria struck the camp when they discovered a luminescent ostrich egg, but even green scrambled eggs weren’t enough to lift Duncan’s dejected spirits.

He faced the live elimination with Most Haunted presenter Yvette Fielding in the bottom two – but the lovely Yvette got given the boot.

The Most Haunted presenter burst into tears and cried "I'm so happy!" as she exited the I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

She also called Lady Colin Campbell, dubbed Lady C on the ITV show, "vile" and "not a very nice person".

During her interview with presenters Ant and Dec, the 47-year-old described her experience and talked about Lady C.

"She's a sly silver witch, that's what she is," she told the Geordie duo. "She's a very strange woman. Everybody's walking on eggshells because you never know when she's going to flip the switch.

"I hope I don't bump into her after we come out of here. I think she's vile. I think she's not a very nice person."

Former Newcastle United star Kieron Dyer won nine stars in the latest I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! Bushtucker Trial.
