TRAFFIC is returning to normal following an accident on the A1.
The accident on the A1 northbound between J59 A167 (Aycliffe) and J60 A689 (Bradbury) caused some delays.
Lane one remained open but lane two was closed while a vehicle was recovered after going into the central reservation.
The incident affected traffic from Darlington towards Sedgefield, as well as motorists on the A1.
The accident has now been cleared, all laned are open and traffic is easing.
