A MOTORCYLIST was rescued from underneath a van after an accident in Peterlee on Sunday night.
A spokeswoman for the County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the man was transported to hospital by ambulance following the collision with a van, in Station Road, Peterlee, at about 6pm.
The extent of his injuries was not known.
Two fire engines from Peterlee used specialist cutting equipment to free the man.
