A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl was left with minor leg injuries after she was hit by a silver Freelander on Union Street, Middlesbrough at about 8.20am on Friday (November 27) morning.
The male driver stopped briefly and spoke to someone at the scene but then drove off. He was stocky and spoke with a foreign accent.
The girl was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough but her injuries were minor and she was released. Police would like to speak to the driver of the vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding the collision or anyone who witnessed it is asked to contact PC Lee Benson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 210192.
