EACH month The Northern Echo highlights one of the many dogs looking for a home at the Dogs Trust Darlington, in Sadberge, near Darlington.

ROCKY is a seven-year-old pointer cross who is waiting to find his forever home.

He hasn’t had the best year after being found as a stray in March and has been staying at the Darlington Rehoming Centre ever since.

He is an energetic and playful character who would be best suited to an active home where his family enjoy getting out and about and can give him lots of exercise, stimulation and attention.

He is a quick learner and is happy to try anything.

Rocky loves playing with his toys and can get a little bouncy and excitable so the team feel he would be best suited to a family with older teenagers, rather than younger children.

Whilst Rocky is full of life he also has a shy and delicate side to him and can be a sensitive soul.

It has taken him some time to settle in at the centre but he now loves the company of his canine carers and enjoys cuddles and having time to relax with them.

Rocky would love to be settled in his forever home in time for Christmas where he can enjoy being part of a family.

If you can give Rocky a home, visit him at Dogs Trust Darlington, Hill House Farm, Sadberge. The centre is open Thursday to Tuesday noon to 4pm and closed on Wednesdays, or to find out more, contact 01325-333114.
