Rory had travelled from his Skipton home to enjoy a night out in York and police have been following a number of lines of inquiry, including extensive searches of the River Ouse.

“We have still not identified the last pub that Rory was in and are appealing to anyone who believes they may have seen him in the early hours of Friday, November 20, to please contact us.”

Rory was last seen by the friend he travelled to York with at 12.15am on November 20 when he left the York Central Travel Lodge on Piccadilly where they were staying the night.

It has been established that he went to a nearby pub with a fellow hotel guest having earlier met him and his father in the Postern Gate Wetherspoon pub at around 11.30pm on Thursday. He left the pub at about 12.30am.

Anyone who can help is urged to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option one and speak to the force control room.
