REHEARSALS are underway for Darlington Civic Theatre’s Christmas panto Cinderella.

The production will star Britain's Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey, plus Brendan Sheerin from Channel 4’s Coach Trip as Baron Hardup, X-Factor finalist Niki Evans as the Fairy Godmother and children’s TV favourite Dooby Duck and Friends.

Along with a cast of talented dancers, organisers say that the pantomime will be bursting at the seams with comedy, stunning sets and outrageous costumes.

In addition, everyone who books tickets for the first week of the pantomime will be automatically entered into a special free draw to win a coach trip.

And for the first time at the Civic Theatre, there will be a specially adapted relaxed performance of Cinderella, designed to welcome people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, learning disability or sensory and communication disorders.

This performance will allow audience members to leave the auditorium and return at any time, light and sound levels will be specially adapted, and there will be a ‘chill-out zone’ outside the auditorium. Audience members can talk as much as they like and there will be no expectation that the audience has to be quiet.

The special relaxed performance is on Friday January 8, tickets are £8.50 and for every ticket purchased for a child, one adult can go free.

Cinderella runs from Saturday, December 5, 2015 to Sunday, January 16, 2016.

Tickets cost from £18 and more information visit darlingtoncivic.co.uk or call 01325-486555.
