A CHARITY ball raised more than £3,000 for Children in Need on Saturday (November 21).
The ball was held at Redworth Hall Hotel, near Newton Aycliffe.
Special guests included Bishop Auckland Mayor, Councillor Lee Brownson, multi-millionaire businessman, Alfie Best and Pudsey and Blush who were on hand to welcome guests.
The night was organised by Lloyds bank employee, Carolyn Dodds, who confirmed the night raised £3,002.30 when the sponsorship was matched by the bank.
Talking about the night, she said: “As part of my day to make a difference at Lloyds Bank I wanted to do something a bit special so took on the challenge of organising a charity ball and I am so pleased that I did as everyone had a fantastic night and raised lots of money at the same time for this brilliant cause.”
Cllr Brownson added: “It was a great night with lots of support for the charity which is fantastic.”
