AN inquest review into the death of an offshore worker who died when a helicopter crashed in the North Sea has taken place at the Coroner’s Court in Crook, County Durham.
Duncan Munroe, 46, from Bishop Auckland, was one of three workers killed in August 2013 when a Super Puma helicopter plunged into the sea as it approached Sumburgh airport on the southern tip of Shetland.
County Durham coroner Andrew Tweddle heard how a final report following an investigation into the incident was being reviewed by an Air Accident inspector but is expected to be published in February or March 2016.
A further review will take place on April 4, 2016.
