A NORTH-EAST scientist is offering to help people survive in the wild.
Bruce Ferguson, from Durham City, takes groups on field trips and teaches bushcraft, wild food foraging, bird watching and craft skills.
The former countryside ranger said: “As a biologist I have a lifelong love of the topics I teach.
“Foraging has become particularly popular and my night sky watching was fuelled by my dad buying me a telescope when I was nine years old.”
The next Wild North Discovery survival events will be held during the school half-term holidays. For more information, call 01388-529154.
