PEOPLE in the North-East have been given more time to have their say on public transport.

The North East Combined Authority (Neca) is carrying out out a review of accessibility and availability of public transport in its area, which covers County Durham, Wearside, Tyneside and Northumberland.

The deadline for comments has been extended until Friday, October 30.

Neca’s overview and scrutiny committee is particularly keen to find out whether people can travel at a reasonable cost, in reasonable time and with reasonable ease; whether people can get to work; and what alternative approaches might help people get to work.
