A MOTHER and daughter team have launched a nutrition and food business specialising in wheat, dairy, yeast and gluten-free products.

Richmond-based Bee Free Box is the brainchild of clinical nutritionist Angela Beecroft and her daughter Sarah Russell.

Ms Beecroft runs private clinics from Richmond, Centaurus Private Health Care in Stockton and London, and has worked for a leading food intolerance company and was formerly on the Advisory Board of Allergy UK.

She said: "Our exciting new business Bee Free Box is a logical extension of the work I have been doing for the last two decades.

“I specialise in gut health and have been working with clients suffering from a range of symptoms caused by a disrupted microbiome – the three to four pounds of bacteria which live in your gut.

“An imbalance of this family of bacteria, we understand, may be the underlying cause of many health issues which can lead to a food sensitivity.

“Removing the suspect foods for a period of time and repopulating the beneficial bacteria may restore gut health, but no one food group should be removed permanently unless advised by your doctor.”

Bee Free Box supplies boxes of ingredients, recipes and a weekly food plan to encourage the intake of vegetables, fruit, lean protein and healthy fats.

Bee Free Box offers a selection of boxes of varying sizes, starting at £14.99 onwards to £49.99 from www.beefreebox.com. In addition, customers can buy the products separately at www.beefreeshop.com.
