TWO accidents near Northallerton in North Yorkshire this morning caused delays on the A19.
North Yorkshire Police were dealing with a serious accident on the southbound carriageway at Thimbleby when the force control room then gave an update to say there was another incident at the same place on the northbound carriageway.
Once the accident was cleared, one lane on both the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A19 was closed between the A684 and Kirby Sigston junctions near Thirsk while repairs are made to the central reservation.
The road has since reopened and traffic has returned to normal.
