AN internationally renowned crime writer paid a visit to a Darlington library to promote her latest book.
Ann Cleeves met fans at a sold-out event at Darlington’s Crown Street Library during her tour of the region to promote her new book, The Moth Catcher.
The book is the latest in the North-East author’s Vera Stanhope series, which has been immortalised by Brenda Blethyn in the TV series Vera, filmed in Northumberland and Tyneside.
The event was one of a series leading up to Darlington Library’s 130th anniversary celebrations.
Senior library officer Vicky Emmerson said: “It was a great evening and a great insight into her work, with interesting insights also into the series serialisations Vera and Shetland based on her novels.”
