BUDDING journalists are needed to play their part in a brave new world.

An adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s dystopian classic Brave New World will be staged in Darlington this November.

As part of its Young Reporters Scheme, digital organisation Theatre Cloud is appealing for would-be journalists to report on the production run.

Reporters will be given the opportunity to see the show and carry out a number of related assignments.

Successful applicants will be asked to conduct interviews, create video blogs, crew diaries and backstage tour reports.

As part of the scheme, they will be given access to the theatre and have their articles published with bylines on theatrecloud.com.

The show will be staged from Tuesday, November 10 until Saturday, November 14, with the Young Reporters Scheme running alongside it.

Applicants must be between 17 to 30-years-old and can apply by emailing Theatre Cloud up to 250 words on why they would like to take part in the scheme along with a story idea based on Brave New World.

To apply, email the above along with name, age, address, Twitter handle and contact details to reporters@theatrecloud.com by Monday, October 26.

A contribution towards expenses will be offered.
