A PAIR of teenagers were assaulted, one slashed with a knife, on the pier behind Hartlepool yacht club.

The two victims, a male aged 16 and female aged 15, were riding their bikes when they were approached by two males who are believed to be about 16-years-old with strong Liverpool accents.

Both victims were assaulted and sustained minor injuries and the male victim had his T-shirt slashed with a knife during the attack that happened on Monday, August 24 at about 8pm.

The first suspect is described as a white male with a Liverpool accent, with long, dark hair and braces on his teeth along the bottom set. He was wearing a dark and light ‘rain mac’ and grey three-quarter tracksuit bottoms.

The second suspect is also described as a white male with a Liverpool accent. He had long, dark hair and was wearing a black coat and grey tracksuit bottoms. It is believed that the suspects could have been visiting the Hartlepool area.
