A ONE-year-old baby boy had to be airlifted to hospital on Sunday (August 30) from Reeth, in the Yorkshire Dales.
The family had been on holiday when the child became unwell and emergency medical help was called for.
The Great North Air Ambulance was asked to assist the Yorkshire Ambulance Service road crew.
After being assessed and treated by the air ambulance crew, it was decided to fly him to the James Cook University Hospital due to his condition and the distance to the nearest hospital that could treat him.
The medical condition of the baby is not known, but he reached the hospital within 12 minutes, where he was treated by staff.
