THE boss of a North Yorkshire software company is encouraging young people to consider a career in technology by launching an internship.

Graham Anderson, founder of OpenCRM, based in Richmondshire, is offering work experience to young people who may have just received exam results.

He said: “It’s often said, especially at this time of year, that further education is not for everyone, which is one of the reasons we launched our internship programme.

“Technology is a massive industry and we know that there will be young people out there who already have an incredible amount of knowledge and skill.”

OpenCRM, based in Colburn Business Park, works with clients worldwide to create tailor-made software solutions, providing cloud-based customer relationship systems.

The internship is open to young people aged between 16 and 21.

The company says it is looking for people with a genuine interest in the industry and has not set a requirement of specific qualifications or experience for interns to apply. Successful candidates will get to work with coding and software experts.

Candidates must email why they want to be an intern at OpenCRM, alongside full contact details and a short biography to; intern@opencrm.co.uk
