A MAN spat in a woman's hair and face from a neighbouring car as they waited at traffic lights, in a road rage incident in Teesside.

The 31-year-old female driver was spat at as her vehicle was stationary at the traffic lights on the junction of Portrack Lane and Haverton Hill Road in Stockton-on-Tees.

She had the window of her Renault Scenic down when the passenger travelling in a silver Range Rover spat in her hair and face twice.

The Range Rover had followed the victim's vehicle from Franks Factory Flooring after the two cars had narrowly avoided a crash in the car park. It then made off in the direction of Go Outdoors.

The passenger of the Range Rover was described as a white male aged in his early 20s, of medium build with sandy, short hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit top and had a local accent.

The driver was a white male, of medium build and aged in his early 20s with short, dark brown hair with a quiff.

His eyebrows are described as either being tattooed on or drawn on with an eyebrow pencil and he also had a local accent.

Police said the victim had been left "extremely shocked" by the incident.
