                Croft lost their unbeaten record when the visiting Willow Tree won by three points, but followed that reversal by inflicting the second defeat of the season at leaders, Barnard Castle Quoits Club to remain six points adrift. At the bottom, Cockfield celebrated their first victory when they only dropped one point to the visiting Farmers Arms.

                In the Second Division Arkengarthdale Charles Bathurst Inn remain unbeaten after 11 matches following their three point win at second placed, Boldron B and now hold a ten point lead with a match in hand.

                Second Division: Bowes B 4 Staindrop B 5; Aldbrough 7 Barnard Castle Cricket Club 2; East Layton 3 Boldron A 6; Boldron B 3 Charles Bathurst Inn 6. Melsonby had a bye.

Max Abbott Memorial

 

                Croft Quoits Club are hosting the Max Abbott Memorial Open Day on Sunday, 16 August with an anticipated starting time of 1pm. Everyone is welcome to either play or watch.
