                Durham Ladies B team failed to upset the league leaders from Lancashire when they took one point from their visit to Bolton. The home team won by 127 shots to 95 to take ten points.

                Sherburn Village won the top of the First Division clash at Leeholme by six points, but there was only a three shot difference overall.                 Ken Storey the Darlington Vets League President this season, ably assisted by the members of his club, Middleton St George, very successfully hosted this season’s tournament. Eleven teams entered and were divided into two groups, playing each other over five ends.
                Railway Athletic C won group 1 with North Lodge A the runners-up, whilst Barnard Castle won group 2 with North Lodge B runners-up. The runners-up both proved successful in the semi finals, with North Lodge B (Dave Scott, Glyn Jones and skip, Gerry Mellor) winning the Final against North Lodge A (Royce Waters, John Carmichael and skip, Malcolm Cundick) 6-0.

 

Darlington Ladies League

 

                Woodland slipped to their second defeat of the season when they lost by two points at Northallerton. The reversal allowed Hundens to stretch their lad at the top to 5½ points after they took all four points from the visiting North Park

                Sherburn Village won the clash between second and third teams with a six point victory over the visiting Vane Tempest but still remain a point adrift of Nevilles Cross, who beat the visiting Brandon by six points.
