BODIES of ducks were found scattered across an allotment by their owner after they were killed in an overnight attack.
Police believe that the injures were caused by dogs, which they believe have been set upon the ducks.
The 14 ducks were killed at the allotment on Kilton Lane, close to Lingdale, East Cleveland, between 7pm on Saturday, July 18 and 10am on Saturday, July 19.

PC Adrian Berryman said: "This is a horrific attack on 14 defenceless ducks and for the owner to have found the ducks strewn across the allotment must have been very distressing."
He asked anyone with information to contact him on the non-emergency number 101, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
