A CARE assistant has been honoured for her kind-hearted and caring approach to the job.
Laura Pratt, a care assistant at Rydal Care Home, in Rydal Road, Darlington, has been awarded a Recognition of Caring and Kindness (ROCK) Award.
The awards honour employees of Four Seasons Health Care who have gone the extra mile at work and winners are nominated by care home residents, or their friends or family.
Ms Pratt was nominated by a relative of a resident and she was presented with her award by Adrian Tanasie, deputy manager of Rydal Care Home.
Home manager Jacqui Hodgson said: “Our employees are our most valuable resource and the reason we are able to deliver the best possible care to meet residents’ needs.
“It is a delight to reward Laura in this way, and show appreciation for her exceptional hard work and dedication that helps to set Four Seasons Health Care apart.”
