POLICE are appealing for information after a 64-year-old man was assaulted in a park.

The incident happened on Wednesday, July 1 at about 7pm when the victim left Joker’s pub on Yarm Lane, Stockton, and walked towards the Garrick Pub on Prince Regent Street.

He then crossed over onto Yarm Lane into Trinity Park where he was attacked from behind by three males.

The males punched and kicked the victim and stole a small amount of cash, leaving the victim with cuts to his face, arms and legs.

He was treated by the ambulance service but did not receive hospital treatment.

Two of the males are described as white and the third male is of unknown ethnicity, police said.

All three made off towards Parliament Street on the Parkfield Estate.
