HARTLEPOOL UNITED have sold their 2,000th season ticket for the 2015/16 campaign at Victoria Park.

Brothers Eddie and Frank Stokle pushed the sales figure past the latest milestone when they popped in to the ticket office to buy after 3pm.

Long-term season ticket holders in the Niramax Stand, the brothers will again be behind the team, while also be bringing their grand-children Ashton and Talia.

“I just hope we can get in to the top ten pushing for the play-offs – and I’m sure we can under Ronnie Moore,” said Eddie, a retired HGV driver. "I’m 100% confident in the manager after what he did last season and with the signings he’s brought in I think we could be in for a good season – let’s just make sure there’s no more heartache!

“It’s brilliant that we’ve reached 2,000 season ticket holders now, especially when there is a month left to go before the season starts so it all bodes well for 2015/16.”

Adults can buy their season tickets for just £250 before the Early Bird deadline at the end of July – that works out just £10.87 per game.

Students and senior citizens can cash-in at £150 (£6.52 per game), while Under 19s are a mere £120 - just over a fiver per game!
