SCOOTER riders inspired by the original mods descended on Redcar at the weekend - the second year the town's scooter rally has been reborn.
Local bands including The Extra Specials, Acoustic Weller and The Clashed played in a marquee at Redcar Rugby Club on Friday night and people came from as far away as Northampton to join the rally and camp.
Scooter rallies were held in the seaside town up to the 1980s, when they stopped, and local enthusiast Damian Hunt brought the event back with friend Paul Power last year, attracting more than 1,000 people.
Despite high winds, enthusiasts showed off their Vespas and Lambrettas along the seafront on Saturday.
