A SHOPPING centre is bringing an end to 24-hour parking at its multi-storey car park.
From June 15, the Prince Bishops Shopping Centre, in Durham, will close its car park at midnight and not reopen until 6am.
Users will still be able to park cars overnight, but their vehicles will be inaccessible until the centre reopens in the morning.
Earlier this year, the car park replaced its chip coin payment system with new Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology.
Centre manager Richard Toynbee said: “This year has seen some major alterations to our car park including the introduction of ANPR technology.
“The foreseen changes to our opening hours will not affect Night Owl parking at Prince Bishops nor will they detract from the quality of service we provide”.
