THREE drivers were hurt in two separate crashes on the A690 in County Durham on Tuesday.
The first collision involved two cars near the turn off to The Morley Wood, between Brancepeth and Brandon, at about 3.30pm.
A Volvo being driven by a man from County Durham collided with a Mercedes being driven by a woman from North Yorkshire.
A spokesman for Durham Police said the injuries suffered by the drivers were not believed to be life threatening.
The road was closed until shortly after 6pm.
A separate collision took place at 4.45pm at Brancepeth - a short distance away from the first crash.
A tractor collided with an Audi TT Quattro being driven by a woman from Durham.
Police said it was initially reported that the tractor had gone over the top of the Audi.
The car driver was taken to hospital with whiplash.
