TWO dogs from the region are so full of life that they are in the running for the title of the Fittest Dog in the UK.
Reeva, a toller from Thirsk, and Lola, a Staffy from Gateshead, will be going nose-to-nose with nine other dogs in the national final of a competition run by Butcher’s Pet Care.
Reeva has already been crowned the winner in the medium category for Yorkshire and Lola took the same title for the North-East.
Reeva – a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever – is owned by Sarah Langford, while Lola, a Staffordshire bull terrier, is owned by Kirsty Pattinson and both are appealing for the public to back their pet.
“Reeva is very agile and will jump any fence just for a tennis ball. She even competed in Crufts this year,” said Sarah.
And Kirsty added:”Lola is an expert at agility - she runs like the wind.”
To vote visit the Butcher’s Facebook page at facebook.com/butcherspetcare and choose your favourite before May 16. The national winner will be revealed in May.
