LABOUR party deputy leader Harriet Harman lent a hand to a candidate fighting a key marginal seat as she visited Stockton on Saturday.
Louise Baldock is fighting to be elected for Labour in the Stockton South seat, which had a Conservative majority of just 332 in the 2010 election.
Ms Harman, who pulled in on her "Pink Bus", which is touring 70 constituencies around the UK, joined Ms Baldock on Stockton High Street, and later meeting women voters at Grangefield Youth and Community Centre on Oxbridge Lane in the town.
She said she wanted to encourage more of the reported 9.1 million "missing" UK women who did not vote in 2010, to come forward and vote in 2015.
Ms Baldock said: “Labour’s Pink Bus has certainly got the town talking about politics and the things that really matter in their lives - women and men alike.”
