A STOCKTON garage has teamed up with youth charity The Prince's Trust to help an unemployed teenager gain experience in his dream role.

North Eastern 4x4 offered 18-year-old James Stubbs, from Middlesbrough, work experience in its Stockton base, helping mechanics with day-to-day repair and service work.

His two-week placement was part of the Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills that he is completing with The Prince's Trust, delivered by Stockton Riverside College.

The certificate aims to help with confidence, motivation and employability and includes a work placement, community project and a team challenge.

The Prince’s Trust, which was established in 1976, provides practical and financial support to young people who are unemployed or are struggling at school and at risk of exclusion.
