While agreeing wholeheartedly with Jan Henderson about Michael Boyd's
remarkable and revelatory production of Macbeth at the Tron (May 6), may
I take issue with her on one point? She believes it ''no exaggeration to
say this production could hold its own at Stratford''.
In my opinion, on recent showings, Stratford is no benchmark of
excellence. Roll on the day when a Stratford production could hold its
own at the Tron.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
