A FLOWER arranger celebrated for his creative flair has teamed up with his local gardening club to inspire people to be artistic with home grown flowers.

Adam Prest will demonstrate his floral wizardry at Sedgefield Gardening Club’s next monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 7, and hopes to attract new gardening enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

Mr Prest, 31, is a keen gardener and grows a large variety of flowers at his family farm near Sedgefield, County Durham, for weddings, christenings and other events across the region.

He is passionate about combining seasonal flowers with quirky additions and guests are encouraged to bring an unusual container, three of which will be use in an arrangement on the night.

John Nicholls, club chairman, said: “We are not a flower arranging club but because Adam grows a lot of his own flowers we were keen to invite him along. I’m sure it will be an entertaining evening.”

Founded in the early 1980s, Sedgefield Gardening Club meets at Ceddesfeld Hall in the town on the first Tuesday of the month from 7.30pm and also enjoys an annual outing.

Admission to the April meeting is £3 for members and £4 for non members.
