POLICE have released CCTV footage of a knifepoint robbery at a Subway store in Middlesbrough.

Two males wearing balaclavas entered the shop on the Trunk Road in Grangetown at 6.45pm on Saturday, January 17, before threatening staff and making off with cash from the till.

The first male was wearing a light grey hooded top and tracksuit bottoms with a ‘v’ on the pocket and black trainers. The second male was wearing a dark blue or black top with dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.


A man who was arrested in connection with the incident was later released without charge.
