A YOUTH has been arrested after six people were hospitalised after taking what were believed to be triple-strength ecstasy tablets at a bar in Middlesbrough.
Cleveland Police have arrested and bailed a 17-year-old male on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.
The six people had taken the tablets while at a dance music gig at Middlesbrough's Medicine Bar, Corporation Road, on Saturday.
Officers said a batch of tablets carrying a "UPS" logo should be avoided as they had higher than normal levels of MDMA - Ecstasy's base chemical.
A drugs charity also issued a warning about the batch, saying they were three times stronger than average.
