THE Kaiser Chiefs rocked a less-than-packed Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle tonight.
The Leeds-born band delivered a mix of old favourites such as the anthemic I Predict A Riot - which predictably raised the roof - plus Ruby and Everyday I Love You Less and Less to tracks from their latest album.
Education, Education, Education & War was inspired by Tony Blair's famous election speech and the lyrics reflect the frustration that comes from politicians' hidden agendas.
Songs played from it included The Factory Gates, Ruffians on Parade and My Life.
Singer Ricky Wilson, now familiar to mainstreamTV viewers as the genial judge on BBC's The Voice, delivered a typical high energy set - making the lack of a sell-out audience all the more astounding.
