POLICE are appealing for information after a number of vehicles were broken into last night.
Cars parked in Middleton-in-Teesdale, Wolsingham and Frosterley, near Stanhope, were targeted by vandals who smashed windows before searching the vehicles.
The vehicles were mostly parked in rural areas away from the main road.
Police believe the offenders have travelled through Wolsingham and Frosterley, over to Middleton in Teesdale and along the Lunedale road towards Brough.
Anyone who has any information regarding the incidents or saw anything suspicious is asked to contact police on 101.
