SEVEN schools in the region have been forced to close following heavy snowfalls overnight.
Bowes Hutchinson's CofE (Aided) School
The school will close on Thursday, 29 January 2015 (All day) and re-open on Friday, 30 January 2015 (Morning). Reason for closure: Severe weather conditions
Crook Nursery School
The school will close on Thursday, 29 January 2015 (All day) and re-open on Friday, 30 January 2015 (Morning). Reason for closure: of the weather conditions.
Crook Primary School
The school will close on Thursday, 29 January 2015 (All day) and re-open on Friday, 30 January 2015 (Morning). Reason for closure: the deterioration of weather conditions
Forest-of-Teesdale Primary School
The school will close on Thursday, 29 January 2015 (All day) and re-open on Friday, 30 January 2015 (Morning). Reason for closure: Caretaker and most teaching staff unable to get in due to snow. Therefore it is unsafe to open.
St John's Chapel Primary School
The school will close on Thursday, 29 January 2015 (All day) and re-open on Friday, 30 January 2015 (Morning). Reason for closure: Heavy snow and poor road conditions.
Stanley (Crook) Primary School
The school will close on Thursday, 29 January 2015 (All day) and re-open on Friday, 30 January 2015 (Morning). Reason for closure: very dangerous road conditions
Wearhead Primary School
The school will close on Thursday, 29 January 2015 (All day) and re-open on Friday, 30 January 2015 (Morning). Reason for closure: School closed Thursday 29th January 2015 (morning) due to severe snow fall and unsafe driivng conditions. Hope to reopen Friday 30th January 2015 (morning)
