A FILM due to be shown in Barnard Castle tomorrow (January 29) will have extra significance for two village residents as their son stars in it as an extra.
David and Hazel Yeadon, of Boldron, will be making the journey to see ‘Pride’ at The Witham as their youngest son, Rob, features in it.
The comedy/drama, has been nominated for a BAFTA as best British film and has already won Best Independent film.
It relates the true story of how London-based gay activists helped the miners in Wales during the strikes of 1984.
Mr Yeadon works primarily as a photographer and makes videos, but his extra work has involved him in a variety of films, including last year Downton Abbey, Muppets Most Wanted and The Theory of Everything.
The film will be shown from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 or £4 for concessions.
