SINGER-SONGWRITER Paloma Faith is set to perform to thousands of people in a National Park forest this summer.
The 33-year-old, who previously performed at Dalby Forest, in the North York Moors in 2013, will perform songs from her third album A Perfect Contradiction as part of the Forestry Commission’s summer outdoor concert series, which was launched in 2001.
Income generated from ticket sales from the show near Pickering on Friday, June 26, will be spent on protecting, improving and expanding the commission’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife.
The singer, whose hits include Stone Cold Sober, said: “I am so excited to do the forest tour, I did it before and had such a wonderful time."
Last year, the concert series ranged from Paul Weller and James Blunt to Katherine Jenkins and The Pogues, while acts announced for this year also include Tom Odell and Paul Heaton.
Tickets, costing £38.50, and £3.85 for booking, go on sale from 9am on Friday, January 23.
