A KAISER Chiefs super-fan was given an 'Oh My God' moment to remember when she was flown out to South Africa to help the band record a new song.

Sarah Luke, 22, from Stockton, was invited to see the band perform in South Africa as part of a publicity stunt arranged by MasterCard.

But Miss Luke and fellow fan, Jessica Wright, 35, from Essex, got an even bigger shock when the band invited them to add vocals and percussions on their new track, Say My Name.

Miss Luke was was chosen to go to Cape Town as part of MasterCard's Priceless Surprises campaign which helps promote the Brit awards, sponsored by the company.

She was given one of the first copies of the new Say My Name song to take home.

Miss Luke has been a fan of the Leeds band, named after a South African football team, since 2007 and says she listens to one of their songs, Modern Way, almost daily.

Her whole family are Kaiser Chiefs fans, she said.

Now back home in Stockton, she said: "It was an out of this world experience to be that close to the Kaiser Chiefs who I have been following for years and just love. South Africa is a beautiful country, and it really was the trip of a lifetime."

Explaining that yesterday (WED) was is her 22nd birthday, she said her story had been featured around the world. She said: "What a birthday present. It's absolutely crazy!"

Lead singer Ricky Wilson, who is also a judge on BBC TV talent show, The Voice, said: "These guys, they really have been loyal and they really do support us, and we can't invite everyone into the studio."

Talking about how having the women in the studio, he added: "We get to do this every day and we enjoy it, but I didn't realise how taken aback they'd be. It's hardly work, it's just messing around in a studio, but we see it a lot and they don't.

"Even when we invite friends to do things like that it makes you appreciate it more, because you see how excited they are."
