QUAKERS fans have been asked to complete a survey to help shape the club's preparations for returning home next season.

Supporters are being urged to reveal how they are likely to travel to Blackwell Meadows when Darlington FC starts playing its home matches at the ground.

Dave Mills, the football club's director responsible for club development, said: "With the planning application now submitted to the council for the development of the Blackwell Meadows site, the three main parties - Darlington Football Club, Darlington Rugby Football Club and Darlington Borough Council - are keen to learn more about our fans' most likely modes of transport to Blackwell Meadows on match days.

"The board of directors would therefore welcome your input into this survey - the results of which will contribute heavily towards various logistic and administrative arrangements that will be introduced."

Fans who complete the survey will have the opportunity to enter a draw for free match entry and a hospitality package for two people.

The directors said they were aware some fans did not have access to computers, but said they hoped fellow fans and family members would help them.

A paper version would prove too complex to administer, the club added.

The result of an earlier fans' survey carried out last autumn are currently being compiled and will be released as soon as possible

The transport survey will remain open until Friday, January 16 at 5pm and the winner will be notified and announced on Monday, January 19.
