TEESDALE’S Funny Way To Be comedy club has announced details for its 2015 programme in Barnard Castle.

The new programme, hosted at The Witham, runs until March and features some of the funniest men and women in the UK.

Comics from the US, Australia and Canada will also be performing in the line-up that officially starts on January 10 with a headline appearance from award-winning comedian Lucy Beaumont.

The night will see performances from Miss Beaumont, who winner of the BBC New Comedy Award in 2012, and a former Chortle Award winner for Best Newcomer.

She will also be joined by Katie Mulgrew and Hayley Ellis.

Saturday, February 7 will see USA comedian, Alex Edelman, the 2014 Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer, take to the stage.

The 25-year-old will join Australian Felicity Ward, one-liner comedian, Peter Brush and Chortle Student Comedian of the Year, Jamila Maddix.

On Saturday, February 28, the club will welcome Tony Law to the region. Mr Law has made appearances on Have I Got News For You, and is now a regular on TV panel shows Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Eight Out Of 10 Cats.

The final spring show will see Ray Peacock perform an abridged version of his critically-acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe show, Here Comes Trouble, while Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show winner Ahir Shah is also set to perform at The Witham on Saturday, March 28.

Tickets range from £5 to £14.
