A FISH and chip shop has been shortlisted for an award in the "Oscars" of the frying world. Pelican Jacks, of Whale Hill, Middlesbrough, is one of the finalists in the National Fish and Chip Awards 2015 Best Newcomer category. Representatives from the shop were taken on a two-day, all expenses-paid trip to Peterhead in Scotland, where the majority of the UK's white fish comes in, to find out more about how their fish is sourced.
