A WOMAN has been released on police bail after four people - including two children - were rescued from a burning house in the early hours of Christmas Eve.
Police are now appealing for information after the suspected deliberate house fire just before 3.20am on December 24, on Percy Street, in the Gresham area of Middlesbrough.
Two women and two children were rescued by firefighters and were treated for minor smoke inhalation at the scene.
A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and has been released on bail while police inquiries continue.
The ground floor of the property was damaged and a window and door were smashed.
Scenes of crime officers from Cleveland Police were at the house on Christmas Eve to gather evidence.
