A supermarket is helping a children’s centre enjoy a merry Christmas after donating treats for their festive parties.

Aldi, at Catterick Garrison has donated the treats to the Carnagill and Wavell Children’s Centre in Catterick.

The donation coincides with the extension of the Aldi Catterick Garrison store which re-opened last month. Children at the centre enjoyed a range of festive products including mince pies, chocolate selection boxes, biscuits and fruit juices.

Carnagill and Wavell Children’s Centre Manager, Lynda Smith, said: “The Aldi donations have come at the perfect time and will help those families who may not be able to afford luxuries at this time of year. The donations will be very well received by the children.”

Aldi Store Manager, Truda Archer, added: “It was lovely to see the children enjoying the Christmas treats we donated. With the re-opening of the Catterick Garrison store it’s been an excellent year for us, so it’s great to be able to give back to the community, especially at Christmas time.”
