ACCOUNTANTS donned their best festive knitwear for a Christmas jumper day in aid of a North-East children’s hospice.

Clive Owen & Co LLP, which has offices in Darlington, Durham and York, had asked all their staff to wear a Christmas jumper and donate money to Zoe’s Place children’s hospice in Middlesbrough.

Staff got into the Christmas spirit and dug out some truly festive attire, but it was all in a good cause with the day raising more than £187.20 for the hospice.

Zoë’s Place provides palliative, respite and end-of-life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years old suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

Margaret Gill, marketing manager at Clive Owen, said: “Having had discussions with Zoe’s Place before, we knew about the excellent work they did and how valuable their services are to families across the UK.

“Being the only baby dedicated hospices in the country it took no time at all to decide to support them with our Christmas Jumper Day.”

Mark Guidery, general manager at Zoe’s Place added: “To see the team at Clive Owen all joining in with Christmas Jumper Day is just brilliant.

“This support is really special to Zoe’s Place and helps our nurses continue to care for young children and babies from all over the North-East”.
